Why making a website accessible (WCAG 2.1) led to a massive jump in patient bookings.

The Challenge: Hidden Friction

Medico Dental had a modern-looking site, but users were dropping off at the "Book Appointment" page. The issue? The design was hard to read for older patients, and impossible to navigate for keyboard-only users.

The Strategy

We rebuilt the site on WordPress with a strict focus on Accessibility and Conversion Optimization.

1. Accessibility is Profit

We increased contrast ratios, added proper ARIA labels, and ensured the entire booking flow could be completed without a mouse. In healthcare, this isn't just "nice to have" — it's your primary demographic.

2. Custom Booking Engine

Instead of a generic contact form, I built a custom Elementor widget that integrated directly with their scheduling software (API).

The Execution

// semantic-markup.html

Small details like focus states and clear labels meant that users who previously struggled to book could now do so effortlessly.

The Results

Administrative phone calls ("How do I book online?") dropped by 40%, while completed online bookings rose by the same amount. The site also jumped to the #3 spot on Google Maps for local queries.
